Bridge Point Capital Co-founder Mark Young Invited to Attend the 2022 SAPA Annual Conference as Investor Advisor

From September 30th to October 1st, our Co-founder Mark Young joined the 2022 Annual Conference hosted by the Sino-American Pharmaceutical Professionals Association (SAPA) as an invited investment advisor. SAPA is one of the most active and well-recognized Chinese professional associations in the US with more than 6000 members who are primarily from large and mid-sized pharmaceutical and biotech companies, with areas of expertise covering all healthcare subsectors.

The Sino-American Pharmaceutical Professionals Association (SAPA) is one of the most active and well-recognized Chinese professional associations in the US with more than 6000 members who are primarily from large and mid-sized pharmaceutical and biotech companies, with areas of expertise covering drug discovery, pre-clinical & clinical development, manufacturing, regulation, marketing, and distribution of pharmaceuticals and biotech therapeutic products.

The 2022 SAPA Annual Conference was held in-person and on-line on September 30th and October 1st, 2022 at the DoubleTree by Hilton, Somerset Hotel and Conference Center in New Jersey. The theme for this year was “Creating Platforms for Innovation & Growth in Pharma & Biotech.” Over 70 industry experts were invited to deliver keynote speeches, including Professor David MacMillan, who won the 2021 Nobel Prize in Chemistry.

The two-day conference was held in two main venues and seven parallel sessions. The session that focused on investment and entrepreneurship, Roadshow and Career Clinic Workshop, attracted great attention, in which a few selected startup winners from the 2022 Healthcare SAPA Investment Forum & Roadshow shared their business plans and technical capabilities, and Mark was one of the investor advisors commenting and offering unique insights. After the Roadshow, there was a career clinic workshop taught by seasoned investor and coach to help the aspired entrepreneurs and executives to advance and upskill their leadership capabilities to meet the major strategic and execution challenges.
